FAQ

We're pretty used to saying "we're going to Europe" and people following up with a whole bunch of questions. So I'm sure you, our wonderful visitor, will have your own share of questions. Here are some answers.

Q: Isn't this trip expensive?!
A: Yes, but not as bad as it could be. Since we're staying at hostels and not hotels, it really cuts down the housing bill. We're also probably going to picnic a lot as opposed to eating in restaurants. We're also targeting things that are free in cities and only splurging when we want to see something really special.

Q: Why are you taking this trip
A: Why not? The idea of the trip was conceived when Point Park University offered a trip to only London for a course in journalism. Allison wanted to go because she always wanted to go to London. However, the bill was pretty pricey and who wants to do homework in London anyway? So she theorized that for the same price as that London trip, she could go all over Europe. So she called up Colin and roped him in and together they designed their perfect trip. (PS - She was pretty much right about the money thing.)

Q: How did you pick which cities you're going to?
A: Very carefully. The itinerary underwent probably four revisions from the original plan. We were originally going to spend some time in Prague, but the train tickets weren't covered by Eurrail, so we axed it. This allowed us to add extra days onto a bunch of other places. Liverpool was also a relatively recent addition, as was Munich. (And I know that the question ended with a preposition. But, really, how many people do you ever hear say "How did you choose to which cities you're going?" It sounds awkward!)
