- Joe's ability to switch his part to either side of his head
- Their variety of stripey clothing items
- Playing the autoharp is badass
- Zal was Jewish. Jews are awesome
- Steve's kickass boots in lots of their TV performances
- The composite fan letter on the back of the Daydream album
- Zal's HUGE. MOUTH.
- John's beautiful blue eyes. And Joe's, too, for that matter.
- John's drawing for the Everything Playing album cover
- Zal's use of the word "bull shat" as the past tense of "bullshit" in a Song Hits magazine article
- John's Midwestern-y accent, even though he's a native New Yorker
- They cite Martha and the Vandellas as an influence
- Their consistent trash-talking in the 1960s. It was cute.
